Crescendo Design started using Second Life to describe design ideas and host virtual meetings with our residential design clients.

Founder Jon Brouchoud (aka Keystone Bouchard) was invited to demonstrate this work at the headquarters of Linden Lab, Clear Ink and during Autodesk CEO Carl Bass' keynote address at Autodesk University.

To continue exploring Second Life as a tool for architectural design and innovation, Jon accepted a position as Clear Ink's 3D Experience Architect, where he had the opportunity to collaborate on the design and construction of several high profile projects such as the virtual U.S. House of Representatives, Autodesk Island, TED Island, and Clear Ink Island, as well as his own Gallery of Reflexive Architecture and the Crescendo Design, Eco-Friendly Neighborhood of Model Homes.

While at Clear Ink, he also helped coordinate virtual events for Congressman George Miller, Chris Luebkeman (ARUP), Phil Bernstein (Autodesk ), Carl Bass, (Autodesk CEO), John Gage (VP Sun Microsystems), Cameron Sinclair (Habitat for Humanity) Sergio Palleroni (University of Texas), and Henrik Bennetson (Stanford University).

His work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions throughout the country, and his speaking engagements include presentations for the Dr. Dobbs Life 2.0 Summit, the London Design Museum (Royal Institute of British Architects 'Architecture Week'), the Digital Resources Conference (Dartington, UK).  He has recently been invited to speak at the IQPC Second Life Conference (New York), the Reitveld Art Academy (Amsterdam), the Graduate School at University of Texas, Austin, and the upcoming State of Play Conference in San Jose, California.

He is author of 'The Arch' blog ( http://www.archsl.wordpress.com ), founder of Architecture Islands, an incubator for architects and designers in virtual worlds, and also leads the Architecture in Second Life community group which has grown to almost 400 members in its first year.  As co-founder of Studio Wikitecture, he is on the cutting edge of exploring the tremendous potential for wiki-style 3D design collaboration.
